has anyone ever had non-cosmetic surgery on their nose? I have to have surgery for a deviated septum and am scared it will change the outward appearance of my nose :(

Has anyone had surgery for things such as a deviated septum or adnoid removal etc? I have to get it done and I'm scared, and the doctor will be removing some cartlidge and bone :( - Will it change the shape of my nose on the outside? My doctor says it might since he's taking out lots of bone and cartlidge. I know it seems shallow to think about that, but your nose is right in the centre of your face so it's kind of noticable!! My doctor suggested that if that happened, I could get a nose job later on, or even have it done at the same time as the deviated septum procedure.

Is it silly to spend like $5000 on a cosmetic procedure like a nose job though? I already spend about that much on porclain vineers for my front 4 teeth because I my teeth got screwed up when I was fell onto a table (looooong story). So $10 000 on my appearance in total? Does that seem a bit much to anyone else? I make ok money, but still...it seems like a lot to spend on appearances. On the other hand, people spend that much for a down payment on their house
