$450 in product for $23. I just "Extreme Couponed" Best Buy...
Kind of... most of the discount was already advertised, I'll explain.
Here in Canada we have a company called FutureShop who is actually owned by Bestbuy. "Dynex" is the in house brand of both of these stores. Both stores handle many of the same SKU's as each other, especially in the Dynex Brand.
Futureshop put some computer headsets (with mic) on sale, from $39 to $5 each. Smoking deal as is.. So I decide to buy as many as I can for my company, as we just started using things similar to Skype, for internal communication. Problem was each Futureshop had maybe 1-2 in stock at each store. Lot's of driving.
I decided to go to Bestbuy, as it was closer, and I knew they would price match if it was full price there. Best Buy had 11 in stock and not only price matched, but they also beat the price by 10% of the different. The difference was about $30, so I received $3 off of headsets that only cost 5 dollars. Essentially $2 dollars a headset.
So I bought 11. Full price would have been about $450.. end price $23
Multiple Managers approved it without an issue and just laughed it off with me.
