A motivational rant on my Reddit Birthday, no cats in sight!

This might go a little off topic for a birthday speech so here I go! When I see people moan about how shit their life is because of their job or something insignificant here on reddit, it is completely laughable.

IMA guy that have had my life crash around me before my very eyes. In just the space of two years I have suffered terrible heartbreak, bad news, financial troubles, personal computer hardware failure, long-term unemployment, bereavement, multiple health scares, family breakdown, coming to terms with my own identity and sexuality despite being under intense bi-curiosity and come close to having a nervous breakdown and face potential mental health issues.

It is not all doom and gloom though. I have survived liver failure, lost an incredible 105LBS, gained professional qualifications and have a feasible business plan that works given the funding of course. I have massive potential for employment, despite terrible job prospects in my area.

I am keeping as open-minded as I can and this has made me one of the happiest person alive and I am most grateful person to still have a pulse. An ordinary person would have ended it all given my circumstances.

I have even given myself a target of 1000 link and comment karma as a motivational aid, and I can safely say I have shattered that target.

My advice I can give is that to keep positive whatever life can troll you for, be grateful you still have a job, be grateful you have loved ones, be grateful you still have money and be grateful you still have your health. I’ve kept happy without the use of drugs or alcohol; some say that I am not entitled to be as happy as I should be but why? Maybe I really lost touch of reality!

So Reddit, stop whining about your life, there is people that are much worse off than you. If this does not get read, I don’t care if this gets down voted. Please feel free to whine in the comments.

I’ve could have easily posted a picture of my cats, but they too are gone.

Reddit Birthday cake, how appropriate given my sexuality.
