I. Am. A. Dumbass.

So I have my kick ass spider grinder going and I'm getting mad XP... I enchant a diamond pickaxe with a lvl 40....and I get efficiency IV... damn... I grind some more and get a nice pickaxe again lvl 40 ish (may have been 39) and I get a respectable IV efficiency, IV unbreaking and III fortune... not bad. I still have 3 diamonds and I'm getting greedy.. so I grind more and do another pickaxe at lvl 45... IV efficiency only.. damn. My son connects and I go get the stuff to show him and I decide to test my IV-IV-III kick ass pickaxe to see how fast it can mine some obsidian at the bottom of this ravine... I get through one block and it didn't seem that fast but there is another block revealed below it. I jump in the 1x1 hole and pickaxe the f-ck out of it only to reveal it was sitting on lava. I'm now 2 blocks deep and can't jump out and I burn to death in about 2 seconds. I was carrying all my enchanted stuff because I had to show it off not 5 minutes before. I am a dumbass.
