Peyton's neck fusion has achieved firm fixation.
Instead of linking to a single tweet, here's where I read the news from:

Relevant tweets, from @AlbertBreer:
Dr. Robert Watkins on Peyton's recovery: "(Exams show) that the fusion performed in September has achieved firm fixation. ..."
(Watkins on Manning cont): "... Peyton will now be allowed to increase the intensity and breadth of his workouts as tolerated. ..."
(Watkins cont): ".. There remains every indication his recovery will continue. There still is no timtable for Peyton to return to practice."
What that statement means, in layman's terms, is that Manning's surgery was successful. The nerve regeneration remains the variable here.
Peyton Manning: "I'm encouraged with what Doc had to say. I am happy that I can increase my rehabilitation program."
My snap interpretation is that this shows things are on schedule. Three months was the timetable from the start for the neck fusion to take.
The important thing here, and what'll decide when/if Peyton Manning returns is the nerve regeneration, which is wildly unpredictable.
I'm happy as fuck right now.
