Is anyone else loving the new jungle?
I've been really trying everything in the jungle lately and it's working so well. Wriggles is no longer required. Sustain is no longer required. Tankiness is no longer required. The number of viable routes is improved, and everything feels more cohesive. More champions can start red. More champions can start with boots. More champions can build GP5 and not be punished.
While it's true that the gold and XP feel a little bit underwhelming, if you play a more aggressive ganker, you really don't feel it as much.
Counter jungling is not as useful now due to the increased respawn time: even if you leave a small creep, they just have to clear that, head to an adjacent camp, clear it, and head back to the one you counter jungled. With that said, however, it's really given junglers who have large camps or buffs stolen early a chance to get back in the game.
All in all I like the changes. Once the XP / gold get slightly tweaked, I think the role of a jungler will be much more interesting and dynamic than before.
