Uninstalled Edubuntu, now my default dashboard icon is just a question mark.

I'm new to Linux. I had no idea that Edubuntu would change as much as it did. I thought it was just a folder with a bunch of apps. Anyway I uninstalled it, but the following command I used (from http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/puregnome) took the dash icon away with it. So how do I get my default Ubuntu dash icon back? That question mark is really annoying.
