Let's imagine for a moment all the prophets/deities somehow managed to present undeniable proof to their followers that they are 100% fantasy/imaginary, how will the world (believers and non-believers) react at this belief-shattering(especially for believers) realization?
I am new to reddit and wanted to post this for a few day now. Can you imagine Muslims/Islam followers being "channeled" or being revealed by Allah/Muhammad that their beliefs are nothing more than a fantasy or Christians being presented evidence by Jesus himself that he was man-made, or any other faith for that matter.
Will this bring peace or will this break all hell loose. Will this bring peace/love/tolerance among believers or war/more hate/intolerance. Given that believers tend to attributes their prophets figures with some sort of absolute authority and are the only ones that they would probably pay attention to, how will they cope with this realization? Will they go through a neo-pukes-at-the-realization-that-he-is-living-inside-a-manipulated-matrix-world experience or will they flat-out deny that they got revealed this and everything will continue as it presently is? How will this change the world? Maybe deep in my conscious it's just wishful thinking on my part that these people would some day come to know and use reason. English is my second language, excuse if I misconstrue any sentences.
Update 1: I know this whole thing about something that doesn't exist presenting proof that it doesn't exist sound crazy but take into account the perspective I am trying to come from. In their minds "this" exists and it's very real to them, having said that, them being receptacle for a revelation would be as real as it gets.
