New Years Eve in Rio--- Anyone around / want to meet up?

My Fiance and I (Both 28 yrs old) will be traveling to South America and will be in Rio on New Years Eve (and a couple of days afterwards). We will be staying at the Marriott on Copacabana and very excited for the festivities on the 31st.

Unfortunately, we speak very little (if any) Portugese and don't know any locals. We would love to get together with a group of people who are going to celebrate on the Beach so we have people to hang out with and help celebrate the new year. We'd also be interested in going out to bars/clubs/whatever afterwards.
