Hey IT redditors - How do I subtlety ruin a PC, so that the IT dept doesn't suspect foul play?
No, really, it's for a good cause.
One of my good friends/co-workers works on the slowest, archaic, pain inducing computers. It can take 4-5 minutes just to open a word document. Same to save a document. 15-20 minutes to restart.
Problem is the company we work for has this wonderful policy of not replacing computers until they are no more. He's been stuck with this thing for awhile now, and despite its issues it just won't die.
Any way I can help speed up this process, without IT suspecting he ruined it on purpose?
