Help needed with PS3 connection in MW3

Hello everyone, I need some help figuring out how to connect to multiplayer in MW3 for the PS3. First of all I'm going to say that I'm trying to connect while here at my college dorm so if that could be a factor in this problem I'm just letting you know now. Anyways, whenever I try to connect to the multiplayer part of MW3, I can "connect" just fine. It's only when it tries to fetch my online profile when it starts to go wrong. It stays on the "fetching online profile" box for a long time and after maybe 30 seconds I get a big box saying

"The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 server is not available at this time. Please try again later or visit http://www.callofduty.com/mw3/status for updates.

Error Code: 380"

This problem only happens when I try to do multiplayer though. Like when I do special ops, I'm able to connect with other people and play with them there. It's only when I try to do the regular multiplayer this happens. Does anyone know how to fix it or if it is even fixable? And is there somewhere else I can post this to get information if nobody here knows? Thanks for your help.
