HW 6.11 - Strategy : Surely A has an optimum strategy

In Q11 if the game is adversarial, i.e. highest scorer wins how can A=5 and B=7 be more optimal for A than A=4 and B=2. That's like saying I'd rather my football team loses 7-5 as opposed to winning 4-2.

In other words, doesn't A have an optimal strategy too? (namely A:b)
