Video card going out every time i open an app.

I have a budget build from 2+ years ago. 2.93ghz core2duo, biostar t41 a7 mobo, sparkle 9800gt calibre, running win7. 2 gigs of ddr2 800 gskill ram.

This just started today. I lightly overclock it sometimes, but have never oc'd it enough to have artifacts. Whenever i open up firefox, my monitor just says "Monitor Going to Sleep," and it just turns off. It won't pick up a signal from the video card at all after that and i have to restart my pc. Right now i'm using my ubuntu partition and i haven't had any problems yet.

So pretty much i can't even get onto the nvidia website to get new drivers.

Anyone have any ideas? I really need to get into windows to do my homework for tomorrow.
