So after a talk with my doctor I want to hear if anyone else has tried this

I didn't go to my doctor to talk about weight loss I have a sinus infection :(. I was just curious while I was there so I asked him. I'm 5'7 210 pounds 17, so I'm overweight as shit, obese I'm sure. He assured me that I'm not in a dangerous position yet and I can easily begin to lost weight doing the following:

He said using a treadmill is superior to running outside because of something about vectors and body weight distribution that it's just better for you. That I should run on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day 7 days a week

Next he said I don't need to count calories, instead eat very few carbs so that I can mobilize the insolin in my body.

He said with these 2 things I'll lose 10 pounds a month or an average of 2 pounds a week

Obviously people have done the low carb diet before so I had 2 questions for loseit:

A) Anyone who's tried the low carb diet, what do you think about it? What are some tips and how did you feel? B)As far as running on the treadmill goes, what's a good attainable 30 mintue routine in your guy's opinion?

Thanks!
