My family lives on a farm.
We have chickens, pigs, and a couple of horses. We're starting to teach our kids to feed the animals, so as to introduce them to responsibility.
It was my daughter's turn to feed the chickens. She's only four, so when she feeds them, I walk her to the coop and supervise her. Everything goes down quite nicely this time. She doesn't spill the feed out of the bucket or anything.
So we head back to the house. She holds my hand with her left hand, and the empty feed bucket in her right. We leave the chicken coop. We pass the stables. We walk a bit further, and by this time, my daughter's legs are getting tired. She's starting to complain. By the time we get to the pig pen, she asks to be carried.
So I slit a pig's throat, collect the blood in the bucket, dump it over my daughter's head, and call it a day.
