Grew up with Apple, finally just built a pc gaming rig. How can I trick out my UI & overall experience on Windows 7 Pro?

I have used XP before, but this is the first time I've used W7. At the moment I have it set up to 37" tv/monitor. I'd apreciate any tips or software for tricking out my W7 computer.
