Marriage, gender roles, and evolution of sexuality. And even some cross dressing. :P

Married and open-minded young Canadian man.

I want to share my experiences with opening up to my wife regarding things that many men don't or feel as though they should. Culture has, in my opinion, a way of defining manhood or masculinity and putting those with penis' into this mould. These are the things I've discovered when I looked beyond that mould:

  1. Sexuality is not binary. I have strong attraction to women, but also the rare male. Any that are of interest are usually either quite effeminate, and I do get turned on by cross dressers, which brings me to my second point relating to sexuality and gender roles.
  2. I both enjoy wearing women's underwear and painting my toenails.

These are both things that I've discovered about myself recently, both of which came about over a year after Claire and I had been married. My wife is a very receptive and mature woman, but she has expressed that she feels shock regarding these new things about me (I felt that same way when I accepted them).

So far, what has come of both of these revelations is a lot more happiness on my part, having told my wife what was on my mind. It also removed a lot of guilt I felt from previous internet porn habits that I'm also working on. I just wanted to share and continue to chronicle how this situation blossoms, where we end up, etc. Married guys, be honest with your wife, 100%! You might be surprised with how much she can accept and learn to love about you. :)
