[FotW] The story of two craigslist hauls in one day - Total $40
I met up with two people from craigslist today. One of them turned out to be the same guy I got my original SNES FotW from back in September.
The first haul was on my lunch break. Met up with a nice girl who sold me her childhood Gameboy and games. Once I removed the peace sign sticker she had on there (the 90s, lol) and used alcohol to get the sticker residue off, it was ready for its close-up. I've never owned an original Game Boy since I was a Game Gear kid and this included some really good titles. $15 total and I am very happy with the purchase. The contrast on the screen could be a little better though.
Games included:
- Zelda Link's Awakening
- TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan
- Jurassic Park
- Kirby's Dreamland
- Battletoads
- Power Rangers
- And the winner of the "Which of these does not belong?" contest: Super Columns for Game Gear
The second haul was after work. I recognized the guy's email address as soon as he responded to me. The ad was for a Sega Genesis + Sega CD with some games. He had it listed for $50 a few days ago and lowered it to $20 after not getting any bites. The lot included several games, listed below. He mentioned he also had a couple N64's one of which did not work. He added those in for 5 bucks. Used some rubbing alcohol and q-tips on the "broken" N64 and it worked like a charm after. The Sega CD works great, just played my copy of Sonic CD on it. And the Model 2 Genesis is my first one of those as well.
Genesis games included:
- NHL 93
- NHL 95
- Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf
- Sonic 1
- Mortal Kombat
- Triple Play Gold
- Side Pocket
- Joe Montana 1
- Super Monaco GP
- FIFA 95
- Bulls vs. Lakers
A bunch of the Sega stuff I already had and I certainly don't need two more N64 consoles. I'm going to update [my r/retrogameswap](http://www.reddit.com/r/retrogameswap/comments/m2mnz/usa_h_retro_consoles_games_and_accessories_w/) post later tonight with some new items, if anyone is interested let me know.
