Share with me your lives as Muslims!

I have a World Religions class which is winding down, and one of our last assignments is to have a dialogue with a member of a religion to which you are fairly unfamiliar. I figured, who better than an entire subreddit!? I'm an Athiest with a Christian background, but very eager to hear and learn anything and everything you have to tell me. I would love to hear from any and all of you! The professor didn't really give us any guidelines, so I just want to hear whatever you would like to share, whether it be misconceptions, basic beliefs, your personal experiences, customs, and especially deep thoughts and feelings that you have about your life as Muslims.
