Humanitarian Engineering

So as a recent Mech-E grad, I've been wondering what kind of opportunities there are out there to apply my limited skills in doing work to help in development and humanitarian causes. I know there are organizations like Engineers Without Borders, but they seem to take mostly skilled engineers with experience. Does anyone know of anywhere else I can look, or just any tips I should know? Thanks!
