Those atheists are at it again!
Posts like this pop up every once-in-a-while and they always get me thinking.
What is it about r/atheism that some people on reddit dislike? Having read through some of the comments in that particular (and other similar) threads leads me to believe that a fair-share of atheists actually hate this subreddit as well.
Anyone have any idea why? The reasons that I see most are 'the facebook screen shots', 'they are all dicks', 'the memes' and 'the intolerance/hatred'. Those three things are all over reddit though, not just in r/atheism.
Is it that some people really hate opposing points of view? I really am trying to understand the rationale. I know r/atheism is probably not the best place to ask but I can't ask in r/adviceanimals without using some-sort-of meme.
Would this type of hatred exist if we had the worlds largest LGBTQ forum in the world with 250 thousand subscribers?
Thanks for any feedback you can give.
