QUESTION: Is it tacky to ask for small things for my siblings, instead of myself?

I've been debating back and forth over this. I've been a redditor for over 2 years, and I participated in SS last year.

This year, money is going to be a bit tight for me, and I don't know how much money I will have to buy my siblings something. They have very distinct and simple tastes, and I know its the thought that counts.

My match hasn't retrieved my info yet...is it not 'kosher' to update that info with a request for a small gift for each of them?

Just looking for an opinion.
