Interested in sending electricity wirelessly by means of laser, looking for any tips on possible setups

So I am an 11th grade hIghschool student, who is in the IB program. For this program, we have to start a research paper in a few weeks, with original research in a subject. As a possibility, I thought of setting up a system of solar panels and lasers to wirelessly transmit electricity. My school has some solar panels I believe they might let me use. My plan was to have a single panel harvesting solar energy, and then using it to run a laser. This laser would then be pointed at another solar panel, where this energy would be changed back into electricity. From this I could run a series of experiments, determining essentially what the most optimal conditions for this type of energy transfer. Any information would be appreciated, along with any criticisms, suggestions, and comments. I have a basic understanding of physics, having takena course, but I believe there is a teacher who can help me with this, since he is quite good at physics. Diagrams, sket he's, everything helps.

Thanks once again!
