Is a Moon/Mars colony realistic in our lifetimes?

Just wondering how likely it is to have immigration of a colony on Mars or the Moon within my lifetime. Will they open up shop mining and research facilities who have people working there who buy things from shops who have people working there too..

I suppose I'm wondering about the Moon as an actual colony/station, like Deep Space 9 almost.
