So after the patch, the IRNV is pretty much useless in BF3 right?

I updated BF3 and was unaware of the changes involved until I tried using the IRNV-sight in Operation Metro, and it was rendered almost completely useless, even in the subway system. There's only one other map (of the nine total) that you can maybe use the IRNV, which is Tehran Highway, but I haven't tried that yet. Does it work there at least?
