non-traditional skateboards

I am a longboarder who wants to get into skating. I will want to do simple ollie based tricks, old school tricks, flatland, and sliding. I thought maybe I would like a 9 inch by 36 inch board like the Rayne Renegade, or maybe a old school board like the Earthwing Frequent Flyer. Any help would be appreciated.
