The feeling of "rapture"

Occasionally, when watching an emotionally charged scene in a television show, or reading an epic (as in the original sense of the word, not the internet sense) book, or when listening to certain songs, I'll get an intense emotional feeling. It makes me feel sad, but excited. Kind of an anxiety filled response that's combined with euphoria. It occurred to me that this feeling might be the same feeling that religious people get from emotionally charged sermons, or the feeling of "rapture", as is stated above. However, I was an agnostic deist for most of my life (I'm now an agnostic atheist), so I was never in a religious setting that could have led to the feeling.

I'm wondering if this is actually the same feeling, and, if so, what my fellow atheists do to reproduce the feeling.
