Is there any easy way to test whether or not a computer will work to hackintosh?

The only part on my primary machine that I know will definitely work is the graphics card. Is there a piece of software which can be downloaded to check for the right components, or any other way to test installation without actually installing?

I have a Snow Leopard installation disc as well as a 4GB flash drive if that matters.
