My Introduction

Hi,

I moderate /r/gameswap, /r/badkarma, and r/mushroomkingdom for a total of about 8400 subscribers.

I work in logistics for a private nationwide 3PL. We focus mostly on same day and next day deliveries. When I'm not at work I'm playing with my daughter. After her bedtime my wife and I watch TV or I play video games.

The /r/gameswap mods use a complicated moderation style. For easy browsing of the community, we enforce strict submission title guidelines outline in our FAQ. We also do our best to enforce our posting frequency guidelines as well. Otherwise we leave what is to be traded and how it is trade up to those involved in the transaction. Interestingly enough, the community encourages this strict moderation and is usually asking us to restrict type of trades.

We have a good relationship and encourage open dialogue. We also encourage the community to assist in moderation by reporting inappropriate posts, which helps a lot.

/r/badkarma attempts to be a comprehensive list of redditors banned from swapping communities (it and our ban list needs some more attention). It also has strict posting guidelines and requires evidence of wrong doing. In the near future we'll also be adding a list of banned users to the FAQ.

r/mushroomkingdom is supposed to be for discussion about /r/gameswap policies and to request special flair.
