Looking for a job connect in Australia.

Going out on a limb here, but stranger things have happened on Reddit. My girlfriend and I want to move to Australia in September, and we will be looking for work. I know how important connections are, especially when looking for professional work, so I decided to give it a try.

My qualifications range from years in the correctional field (which is a field I would love to work in when in Australia; to contrast the systems would be very intriguing!) I possess a college diploma in the same field, as well as an honours BA in Sociology by September. I currently work at Federal Ombudsman's office while finishing my diploma, and am quite dependable.

My girlfriend is the brighter of the two, but please don't tell her I said that, as she will never let me live it down. She possesses a BA in Psychology (cum laude) and is a dedicated, responsible and compassionate person. She is indeed my better half.

We are both looking for a decent job with a liveable wage to make it possible to reduce our loans while enjoying a comfortable living. We have explored going a rougher route, such as fruit picking, or taking menial work, but would rather gain knowledge and professional experience if possible, positions which are usually filled by knowing the right people.

So I am asking, is there any Redditor from Australia who is looking for two hard working, dedicated Canadians to take on? We can promise at least a year of work, and most likely two if the Visa works out. Either way, it would be a rich experience for everyone involved!

TL/DR Canadians looking for work in Oz!
