Unfair 1v1 selection

What I've been noticing in the silver leagues is that I'm either going up against people that are in gold or in bronze. That being said it's either I am being owned or doing the owning. DAE see this a lot?

Also I'm seeing that my opponent is always "slightly favored." Is this a joke because that's how it was when I was facing a bronze level player with no victories? Thanks all.
