Help With Sociology Paper Topic

Hi Reddit! I'm an up and coming sociologist and am currently in my third year of my under grad program. I usually do very well on my term papers in my sociology classes but I am having a hard time finding a topic for a certain class. The class is The Development of Sociology and focuses on classical sociological theory. I enjoyed Emile Durkheim's thoughts on crime and deviance and the idea of mechanical and organic solidarity. I am having trouble figuring out how to apply classical theory to modern day topics. I know there are probably plenty of sociologists on here so any input would be appreciated! Thanks.
