21,000 downloads at Amazon in November! It seems to have kick-started sales again.

I published my book at Amazon in May and by October/November sales had begun to slow down so I offered my book for free for a couple of weeks. The aim was to gather a fan base for my next book. I ended up with over 20k downloads for the month (the first 6k in the first day alone!) I had quite a few people subscribe to my site to receive news of the next book so it paid off. The unexpected bonus was that when Amazon put my book back on the 'paid list', sales have picked up again to the level they were when the book first came out. Amazon has it on sale at 99c - $2 off, so maybe there's a 99c or bargain list which people are finding it on? It is currently at #1873 in the top paid list, which is pretty cool.

Anyway, I wanted to let folks know that offering your book as a freebie for a short time can be beneficial.
