Am I the only one who thinks the spawn system is horrible?

I just spent an hour getting completely decimated every time I spawned on a capture point, sometimes right in front of an attacker camping the corner. I wouldn't be so disgusted if there was even a second of spawn protection. Anyone else have any thoughts?
