Halloween exchange, still no gift :(

For the Halloween exchange my original gifter didn't send a gift or contact me to at least tell me they couldn't send a gift. So I waited patiently and got rematched. My rematch also failed to contact me or send me a gift. I don't really care what the gift is, it could be a letter, I was just so hopeful since this was my first one. Is there anything else that can happen now or is it all over?
