Is it weird to call someone beautiful as a comment on their facebook pictures?/What's acceptable to post to someone you don't really see anymore?

I was just browsing my facebook page and noticed this really cute girl uploaded some pics, and was just wondering if she (or others) would think it creepy to complement her looks.
