Proofs with subsequences

I'm having trouble with two true/false statements.

The first: A subsequence of a bounded sequence is bounded.

The second: If a sequence of non-negative real numbers has a limit, it is also non-negative.

Any help you could give me would be fantastic! (counterexamples for the false statements, whatever)
