Research Paper on SC2 -- Need some Help!

Hello I am sociology student doing a research paper on SC2, esports and gamers in general. I am wondering if anyone on reddit has done an essay that is similar and would like to share some sources? I am just looking for academic or scholarly(no shortage of alternative sources) sources. The main topic is how associating with SC2 gives its fans an "identity" and ways that we are the same/different from mainstream culture.

TLDR: Need ACADEMIC sources for an SC2 paper.
