Questions regarding gathering/crafting.

In the last beta, I had 55k credits by the time I hit 24, enough for a speeder/training. I didn't take on any crafting/gathering skills.

I am not one really who enjoys crafting, but I've heard there are some level 50 craftables which are very very good. Are these BoE? or are they bounded upon creation?

Also, if I decide to take 3 gathering skills, would it get out of hand at the number of nodes there are? i.e. would one get annoyed having to stop and gather every 5 steps, or are they not that frequent.
