Who has been your role model in a videogame?

Who have you encountered in a videogame and thought, "wow, he's so cool, I wish I could be him!" in your gaming childhood? For me, it was definitely Conker. Heh, not the best role-model, I admit, but he managed to fight a war, the undead, a giant piece of shit, and break into a bank just to get some cash. If that doesn't show determination, I don't know what does.
