NoFap November is over. The Female Perspective.
I know a lot of people were kind of wondering what, if any, effects girls would be getting from No Fap and why we would even bother. Well, my decision was based mainly on controlling what I felt was an out of control compulsion. I rarely went a day without it and sometimes 3-4x a day. I was also seeing someone at the time and was just so conditioned to get there through my own means that it was almost impossible to get there otherwise.
So... now onto my experience with NFN.
The first week or so was tough cookies. But I was being more productive, more clear headed and in general, more happy.
The second week included the end of the seeing-someone bit, which just kinda made me bummed out. Typically when I am bummed out I gorge on unhealthy foods and fap to my hearts content. I did neither. (Okay... I ate a 1/2 pound Reese's peanut butter cup. stfu. It was amazing.)
I started to notice an indifference to the whole idea around the 3rd week or so. I even tried to convince myself to do it but was just like "eh... why?". I finally broke free from doing it because I was bored, upset, etc... and was able to get more in touch with doing it for the right reasons (and I do believe there are right reasons.)
I had a few slip-ups. Two by myself and one as a mutual thing. I don't count the mutual thing as a slip-up, honestly. But I digress.
Now that it is over... I don't see myself going back to my previous habits. I feel disinterested by the whole ordeal and think I finally have a healthy handle on it.
So, I appreciate all of you for the motivation you gave me, for writing about your slip-ups, your "cravings" and your reasoning. I feel like I've taken away from this month a healthier mindset. And that... is a pretty wonderful feeling =]
Now if you will excuse me....
