Tailored pants?

Here's the scoop. I have a pair of dress pants that have no equal in fit and comfort. I don't dress up much, but I have other dress pants and they don't compare. So I was wondering, can i take these to a tailor or something and get them to make a new pair of pants from these ones with the exact!!!! same dimensions. They can destroy the old pair to make a template if they want, as long as I can trust them to make the pants the same. Oh and I'd want to keep the templates for future pant making purposes.

Can this be done. If so, where? Remember, I'm putting a lot of trust in this. So if it's your aunt and she fucks up, your aunts place just burnt to the ground!!!
