Beer-Liquor in Garmisch

Recently came back from a trip to Garmisch after Oktoberfest. The guesthouse we stayed at (Gastof Fraundorfer) had a drink they referred to as beer-liquor which was served warm in a shotglass-sized beer mug with cream on top. I live in the states (Washington, DC) and was wondering if there was any brand name for this drink and if it is possible to purchase online. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
