recon: am I the only one sad that u don't get recon class points for spotting with the MAV?

it makes me sad, i feel very good about spotting. i feel like i'm really helping. Teamed up with some friends, they took the tank, i spotted for them, they never died but i got pretty low points and none of it went to my recon class kit(maybe like 40).

i'm on the way to unlocking the sks, and i really want it. anyone else feel like they should get some points for their recon class.
