Squad leaders marking attack/defend disabled?

So I just got finished playing a little Rush and I noticed it wasn't letting me press select on the M-COMs for the attack/defend order. It made me sad not being able to do so and I kept trying it over and over to check if it was just a glitch.

Is this something that changed with the latest update?

edit: I'm an idiot. It still works fine :|
