Finally found one thing about my new GTI that bugs me...

A little back history...all I've ever owned are VW's. Before my current car, I had an '88 Jetta and a '02 Jetta.

Finally traded in the '02 last month for a '12 GTI and love pretty much everything about it. One thing, however, is going to start becoming rather annoying over the coming months...

The first time it dipped into the thirties, I was made aware of it by the center display flashing the temperature with a snowflake next to it. This was accompanied by a very prominent "tone".

As it continues to get colder, I get it every morning when I pull out of the garage. Now, let it be known that I get up in the morning to run...so I am all too well aware of just how cold it is outside. Slowly...it's become annoying. I'm starting to liken it to the ex-girlfriend reminding me of something I already know. All I can think of is, "Thank you, Captain Obvious! I know it's freaking cold outside!"

So...its really minor and silly, I know...but there you go. I found one thing about my new VW that I don't like.

Is there an option to turn this off that I am unaware of?
