Skyrim and Religious Persecution
Just a quick comment on how Skyrim has made me think.
In game, the Thalmor's intolerance of the worship of Talos and forcing the empire to deny their belief really brings to mind the religious persecution of today. There are many religious wars going on right now, and although I always knew they were not right, Skyrim really brings to light just how stupid and childish it is to fight with someone over different beliefs.
Here, it is displayed in a way I can relate to, and even though it is fictitious, what the Thalmor are doing continually reminds me of what is going on in real life and makes me consider it in a way I never though of before.
Although this was probably not intentional, I applaud Bethesda for making a game that has made me think like this.
