Server/Linkshell anyone?

So, decided to give FFXI a shot since I'm keen on the series itself, though it's most likely pretty late but I have some time left before Swtor or anything else that can grab my attention comes out. Installing/updating now, figured I'll be in by tomorrow hopefully. Any one mind helping some fresh meat out? Suggested server or anyone have a linkshell I could join upon character creation and such? Reading through r/ffxi as you're reading this most likely, been skimming through it the last couple of days.
