My friend's dad died. Now what...?

My friends dad died today. He was in a cherrypicker accident. I've looked at his facebook wall, and 90% of it is prayers or bible quotes etc. which makes me realize how stupid people are. I also as an atheist don't know what to do now. I'm going to die one day. This sucks. And I STILL have nightmares of hell.
