A Call for Civility When Interacting with /r/anarchism

There seems to be a great number of posts generated here regarding the recent kerfuffle with r/anarchism. First I want to commend insyzygy for having and encouraging civil discussion between r/anarchism and r/Anarcho_Capitalism. I believe a great deal of good conversation was had in that link and I would look forward to additional discussions and debates with members of r/anarchism.

Unfortunately hard feelings seem to be afoot over the massive number of down votes received by comments posted by social anarchists. Let's be honest ladies and gentlemen, members of r/anarchism don't like capitalism and also don't care much for people who promote it. I think it would be a good idea to show civility and not bring on the "down vote brigade" when we venture over to our r/anarchism neighbors.

This is just my attempt to ask, in a friendly manner, that we try to nurture discussion between our subreddits and not simply hit the down vote button on every comment we disagree with. It doesn't help the conversation and it appears a great number of redditors do care about their karma.

I've said my piece and I'll leave this discussion alone from here on unless others wish to discuss it further. Thanks for reading and have a good evening (or day depending on your time zone).
